First Announcement and Call for Mini-Symposia & Special Sessions
The 12th edition of the ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on Smart Structures and Materials (SMART 2027) will take place on 28–30 June 2027 at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon.
SMART2027 will provide a multidisciplinary forum for presenting and discussing recent advances in the highly interdisciplinary field of smart materials and structures. The conference aims to foster the development of new ideas, strengthen collaborations, and promote the transfer of cutting‑edge scientific results from research to practical applications. Topics will span Smart Materials, Structures and Systems, Structural Control and Health Monitoring, Methodologies and Tools for Simulation and Design, Manufacturing Technologies, and Applications of Smart Materials across diverse engineering fields.
We warmly invite you to submit proposals for Mini‑Symposia and Special Sessions by 31 October 2026. Proposals should include the title, a brief summary, the names and affiliations of the organizers, and should be sent to smart2027@tecnico.ulisboa.pt.
- A Special Session consists of 6 presentations of 20 minutes each, including 5 min discussion.
- A Mini‑Symposium is composed of 2 or more sessions.
