International students and researchers are welcome at SUPMÉCA!
If your university is a partner, you can achieve an exchange through an internship or a at a master or PhD level within the Erasmus program depending on your situation.
Master Level
Candidates must at least have a bachelor level or equivalent in science or engineering, or have acquired at least 180 ECTS credits when joining SUPMÉCA. A primary selection will be carried out by the international relations department and the results will be forwarded to your own university.
In that case, an application folder from SUPMÉCA will be sent to you for the final selection.
Internship
Candidates must at least have a bachelor level or equivalent in science or engineering, or have acquired at least 180 ECTS credits. You can apply anytime throughout the year. A preexisting collaboration between professors of both institutions is highly recommended. A primary selection has to be carried out and forwarded by the international relations department of your own university.
In that case, an application folder from SUPMECA will be sent to you for the final selection. This folder must be returned 3 months before the beginning of the internship.
PhD
Applications are received anytime throughout the year. A preexisting collaboration between professors of both institutions is necessary. They will be the ones in charge of accepting candidates. Supmeca’s international and industrial relations head office will be informed of the decision 3 months before the beginning of the mobility.
If your university has an agreement with Supmeca, you can attend academic classes from the Supmeca’s 2nd or 3rd schoolyear (4th and 5th study year). The specific conditions of each agreement will be sent to you by the international relations department of your own university which will carry out the primary selection of candidates as well.
In that case, an application folder from SUPMECA will be sent to you for the final selection.
If your university has a double-degree agreement with Supmeca, you can attend Supmeca’s 2nd and 3rd year (4th and 5 study year) in order to graduate both from Supméca (“Diplome d’ingénieur” Master’s degree in Science and engineering) and from your own university. The specific conditions of each agreement will be sent to you by the international relations department of your own university which will carry out the primary selection of candidates as well.
In that case, an application folder from SUPMECA will be sent to you for the final selection.
Students willing to do an internship or carry out a graduation project (DiplomArbeit, Tesi di Laurea…) within one of Institut polytechnique Grand Paris lab research teams (Quartz) can apply at least 3 months before the start date of their project or internship. A preexisting collaboration with one of the lab’s researcher-professors is highly recommended.
